Floor Manager

Floor Manager is a supervisor or operational manager responsible for overseeing employees, workers, activities, and day-to-day operations within a designated workplace area or floor. The role is common in manufacturing units, retail stores, warehouses, production facilities, service operations, and other workplaces where employees work under on-site supervision.

In an HRMS, a Floor Manager may be associated with employee teams, departments, shifts, work locations, attendance, leave, task assignments, performance, and workforce reporting. HRMS workflows can help managers monitor attendance, review employee information, approve requests, provide feedback, and coordinate workforce activities according to their assigned responsibilities and access permissions.

Floor Managers play an important role in maintaining operational discipline and workforce coordination. They may monitor staffing levels, work schedules, attendance, productivity, employee performance, workplace requirements, and day-to-day issues, while HRMS records provide centralized information for workforce planning and management.

For CLMS (Contract Labour Management System), Floor Managers can supervise contract workers deployed within specific production areas, floors, plants, warehouses, or operational locations. They may coordinate worker deployment, attendance, shifts, work assignments, productivity, safety-related observations, and contractor workforce activities in coordination with HR and contractor management teams.
