Fingerprint Synchronization

Fingerprint Synchronization is the process of transferring or synchronizing employee fingerprint and biometric attendance data between fingerprint devices and an HRMS or attendance management system. It helps ensure that biometric employee records and attendance transactions are available in the central system for processing and monitoring.

In an HRMS, Fingerprint Synchronization can connect biometric attendance machines with employee records and the Time Office or attendance module. The synchronization process may transfer employee identifiers, fingerprint templates where supported, punch records, attendance timestamps, device information, and other configured biometric data.

Fingerprint Synchronization helps maintain accurate and timely attendance records by reducing manual entry of biometric punches. Once attendance transactions are received, the HRMS can process them against assigned shifts, attendance rules, grace periods, working hours, late arrivals, early departures, overtime, and other configured attendance policies.

For organizations operating across multiple locations, synchronization can help consolidate attendance information from different biometric devices into a centralized HRMS. This provides HR and managers with better visibility into employee attendance and supports downstream payroll and attendance reporting processes.

In CLMS and contract workforce management, Fingerprint Synchronization can help capture biometric attendance transactions for contract workers where fingerprint-based attendance devices are used. Synchronized records can support worker attendance, muster information, payable hours, shift tracking, and contractor workforce reporting.
