Fingerprint Device

Fingerprint Device is a biometric hardware device that identifies individuals using their unique fingerprint patterns. In workplaces, it is commonly used to capture employee attendance, check-in, check-out, working hours, and shift transactions and transfer attendance data to an HRMS or Time Office system.

In an HRMS, fingerprint devices are typically connected with attendance management systems to automatically record employee attendance. The device can associate a fingerprint with an employee code or biometric ID, allowing organizations to maintain attendance records and use them for shift management, overtime, leave, payroll inputs, attendance regularization, and workforce reports according to configured policies.

Fingerprint devices can help reduce manual attendance processes and provide a centralized source of attendance transactions. Depending on the device and integration setup, attendance data may be synchronized from one or multiple workplace locations with the HRMS for monitoring and processing.

For CLMS (Contract Labour Management System), fingerprint devices can be used to capture contract worker attendance at factories, plants, warehouses, project sites, construction locations, and other operational workplaces. The recorded attendance can support worker deployment, shift tracking, muster-related records, wage inputs, contractor workforce monitoring, and compliance processes.
