Face Template

Face Template is a digital biometric representation created from facial characteristics and used by a facial recognition system to verify or identify an individual. It is typically generated from facial image data and converted into a mathematical or digital representation that can be used for biometric matching.

In an HRMS, a Face Template may be associated with an employee's biometric profile for face recognition attendance and identity verification. During enrollment, the system can capture the required facial information and create a template that can subsequently be compared with a live facial capture for authentication or attendance purposes, depending on the configured biometric solution.

Face Template management can help organizations automate employee attendance, identity verification, and access-related processes while reducing dependence on manual attendance entry. HRMS attendance systems can use successful biometric verification to record employee punches and process attendance against assigned shifts, working hours, late attendance, overtime, and other configured rules.

Because biometric information is sensitive, organizations should apply appropriate privacy, security, access-control, retention, and consent practices when collecting and processing face templates. The exact handling requirements depend on the applicable laws, organizational policies, technology architecture, and purpose of processing.

For CLMS and contract workforce management, Face Templates may be used where facial recognition is deployed for contract worker identification or attendance. This can support workforce verification, attendance capture, deployment monitoring, and operational records while requiring appropriate controls for biometric information.
