Emergency Contact

Emergency Contact refers to a person designated by an employee as a primary contact in case of an emergency, accident, illness, or other urgent situation. In an HRMS, emergency contact information is maintained as part of the employee's personal and workforce records.

Emergency Contact details typically include the contact person's name, relationship with the employee, mobile or telephone number, email address, and address. Organizations may allow employees to add or update these details through an Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal, subject to configured policies.

Maintaining accurate Emergency Contact information helps HR teams respond quickly during emergencies, maintain complete employee records, and support employee safety and welfare processes. Keeping this information updated is particularly useful for organizations managing employees across multiple locations, shifts, or work environments.

In CLMS, Emergency Contact information can also be maintained for contract workers and other deployed workforce members, helping organizations and contractors maintain important contact information as part of workforce records.
